Rick Conner, CPA Rick founded Conner & Associates in 2006 and has more than 30 years of public accounting experience within the various fields of taxation. For the past 16 years, he has specialized in working with high net worth clients and servicing their needs in the areas of estate and charitable gift planning for the international accounting firm Ernst & Young. Rick has also spent time in Washington D.C. covering House and Senate tax hearings. Rick’s team includes former managers from Ernst & Young and other experienced staff specializing in income tax for high net worth clients. Rick is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Scott Simmerly Scott has over 15 years of public accounting experience specializing in tax compliance planning and preparation services for individuals and closely-held businesses. His emphasis is on all compliance issues relating to family foundations and non-profit organizations. Scott has worked primarily with small business clients, ranging from personal services to family partnerships and trusts, handling all of their financial reporting and tax planning and preparation needs. In addition, he has experience in individual taxation, with an emphasis on tax planning. Scott attended the University of Dayton.

Jodi C. Laufer, CPA Jodi C. Laufer has over 10 years of tax related experience working primarily with high net-worth individual clients. She has extensive experience in individual taxation, along with trust, estate, gift tax, private foundations, and individual planning needs. Mrs. Laufer graduated with a BS in accounting and a minor in finance from Purdue University and received a masters in taxation degree from Indiana University Purdue University. Jodi began her career with Arthur Anderson and spent several years in the individual tax department of Ernst & Young before joining Conner & Associates in 2006. A native from Indiana, Jodi resides in Avon Lake, Ohio with her husband and their three children.

Mary Ellen Ticchione, CPA Mary Ellen has 25 years of accounting experience, specializing in audit procedures, management and corporate reporting and strategic planning. She began her career with KPMG and has experience in manufacturing, health care, financial institutions and non-profit organizations. Mary Ellen received her bachelor’s in accounting from Lynchburg College in Virginia. She currently resides in Macdeonia, Ohio.

Dione Pace Dione has 20 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, focusing on the manufacturing, technology and financial services industries. Her primary experience is with year-end audit schedules, fixed asset systems and management reporting. Dione received her bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Akron and currently resides in Macedonia, Ohio.
